Inspired by the spirit of the legendary French designer Paul Poiret, leading designers have moved to bring menswear closer to the details of womenswear, relying on luxurious fabrics and rich prints that were historically the preserve of women.
A Fabric Revolution: Poiret at the Center
Jonathan Anderson led the way at Dior, embracing Poiret's passion for luxurious fabrics, where jacquard, cut velvet, and intricately patterned fabrics flooded the runways. At Dries Van Noten, Julian Clausner indulged in rich prints, confirming that material luxury is not a barrier between men and women.
Pink: The Color of Steadfastness and Defiance
Following the widespread controversy surrounding the J.Crew jacket (which became known as J.Crewgate), designers didn't back down. Instead, they reaffirmed the dominance of pink in its various shades, transforming it into an expressive movement under the slogan "Rosé All Day Long." The use of printed scarves also became prominent, whether wrapped around the neck or used as a trendy head covering.
